Indicaties

Lasertherapie
Laseracupuncture
Laserneedles emit moderate doses of radiation and thus stimulate cellular tissue with a very high radiation density. In this way, the Laserneedles achieve physiological actions, which conventional laser therapy devices cannot achieve. Precise localisation precisely allows one to optimally target the therapeutic effect.
Besides reducing pain, this laser also provides regenerative effects (repair and growth) of bone tissue, cartilage tissue and tendon/connective tissue. This is due to stimulation of the cells of these tissues such as the osteoblasts, chondroblasts and fibroblasts. As a result, the body itself starts producing bone (mineralisation) , cartilage and connective tissue again (production of fibrinogen, collagen and hyaluronic acid and proteoglycans).
Invention laseracupuncture
The laserneedle method was invented in 2000 by Dr.Schikora from the University of Paderborn, Germany. Since then it was more and more improved and the therapeutic spectrum was extended.
The laserneedle acupuncture was awarded in 2004 with the 1. International Research Award of the American Academy of Medical Acupuncture (AAMA) and the Medical Acupuncture Research Foundation of the USA (MARF).
The pioneering work for the scientific development of the laserneedle acupuncture was done by Prof. Dr.G.Litscher (Medizinische Universität Graz) and his colleguages.
Principle Laseracupuncture
HED-laser needles are new instruments in the medical laser therapy. For the first time, they allow to perform lasertherapeutic treatments simultaneous on joints as on points on the skin. This cannot be done with any other laser therapeutic device.
HED- laser needles emit moderate energy but stimulate the target issue with high optical irradiation. Due to their specific characteristics, laser needles induce verifiable physiologic effects, which cannot be reached by any other conventional laser therapy method. The localised irradiation guarantees that only the therapeutic relevant areal is irradiated, the surrounding tissue will not be exposed unnecessarily.
Like all laser therapy methods, the new laser needle micro therapy is a painless, non-invasive treatment procedure. The laser light is supplied by optical fibres to the laser needles, which are fixed onto the treatment area ( Joint gaps, Necrotic bones, Trigger point, Acupoints) by special applicators, but not pricked into the skin.
That contact application principle ensures that the irradiation into the tissue is point- precise.
Scientific and clinical studies
Depending on the irradiation, wavelenght and localisation the laser needles activate specific cellular effects with the following results, which were validated in scientific and clinical studies3,4,5:
-
regeneration of bone- and cartilage tissue
-
photoinduced anti- bacteriological effects
-
photoinduced immunological effects in dermal cells and in the blood
-
reduction of inflammatoric processes
-
reduction of edema
-
stimulation of fibroblast cell activity in wound healing processes
-
improvement of peripheral capillary circulation in the blood and lymphatic system
-
improvement of various blood parameters like oxygen metabolism and immune factors.
-
high analgetic efficiacy in pain treatments by acupuncture- and trigger point stimulation
Orthopedic diseases
Besides the pain release, the regenerative effects of the laser needle irradiation in bone and cartilage tissue are here of particular importance. Osteonecrotic bone areas are regenerated to a great extent by direct laser needle irradiation (Morbus Ahlbäck, Morgus Osgood Schlatter).8 The laser needle irradiation enhances significantly the metabolism of osteoblast cells, without influencing the osteclast cell activity. 6 As the result, the bone production-reduction equilibrium is shifted to the bone tissue producing side and an increased mineralisation is induced. Cartilage tissue is stabilised (Fibrinogen, Collagen), and the synthesis of hyaluron acid and proteoglycanes is increased. 7
The application principle is very simple:
-
The laser needles are arranged along the affected articular gap or the osteonecrotic area.
-
The optimum treatment time is of about 30 min
-
The treatments must be repeated 2 treatments per week in the beginning.
-
Excellent results will be achieved in the treatment of tendinitis. This opens new possibilities to reduce the medication, to reduce the side effects and to prevent surgical interventions.
-
Usually 5–20 treatments are necessary to induce long- standing regenerative effects.
With very good results were treated:
-
Artrose: grade 1.-3
-
Chondropathies: grade 1-3
-
Polyartritis
-
Aseptic osteonecrosis
-
Osteoporose
-
Tendinitis
-
Carpal Tunnel Syndrome
-
Rheumatic joint diseases
-
Edema
-
Fractures
-
Sudeck’s atrophie
-
Tietze’s Syndrome
-
Scoliose
-
Lumbale and cervicale hernia’s
-
Discopathies
Treatment of children
The advantages of the painless laser needle treatments can be felt in particular in the treatments of children.
The painless and side-effect free character of laser needle micro therapies is essential for the pediatrics.
The children experience the acupuncture and the laser therapy as pleasant and efficient method. The accompanying medication of inflammations, joint diseases or skin diseases with antibiotics can often be reduced significantly.
The following indications were treated with particular succes:
-
Headaches
-
Bronchitis and Astma
-
Inflammations of the ear
-
Inflammations of the large intestine
-
Skin diseases like atopic dermatitis and acne vulgaris Warts
Scientific and clinical studies
The stimulation through the HED (High Energy Density) – laser needles is as strong as metal needles but completely pain free. In addition, the HED laser also stimulates healing processes in the tissues. The cerebral and peripheral effects of the laser have been demonstrated in more than 50 published scientific studies. That makes this laser the most researched and proven effective soft laser in the world.
